Find Hut 44 and say hello
The class is easy. Finding the hut the first time takes a little care, especially because Hut 44 is at the back of the grounds, not near the carpark. Use the map, then follow the notes below. After one visit it will feel obvious.

Open in Google MapsHow to find Hut 44
- 1. Come to Addison Road Community Centre. The street address is 142 Addison Road, Marrickville. Enter through the main gates on Addison Road. Grounds are usually open from 6.30am.
- 2. If you are driving, turn into the carpark. After the gates, take the next available right. Weekday parking is free. Weekend parking may be limited and conditions can vary on market or event days, so check the signs when you arrive. Please keep to a walking pace. Families and older people use these grounds all day.
- 3. Head to the back of the grounds. Hut 44 is the Bush Music Club building at the rear of the site, not the main hall near the carpark. Walk past the big hall and keep going toward the back. Look for the Hut Yoga A-frame and the building number 44 on the hut.
- 4. By bus. The 428 stops by the centre entry gates on Addison Road, opposite England Avenue. From the stop it is a short walk through the gates, then on to Hut 44 at the back of the grounds.
- 5. By train. Stanmore Station is about a 15 minute walk. From Marrickville Station, walk north along Illawarra Road, turn left onto Addison Road, and continue to number 142. That walk is also about 15 minutes.
- 6. By bike. There are bike racks near the Food Pantry on the far side of the carpark. Lock up, then walk to Hut 44 at the back of the grounds.
We are not Half Moon Yoga. Half Moon Yoga is a separate Iyengar studio elsewhere on the Addison Road grounds. Hut Yoga Marrickville is at Hut 44, the Bush Music Club building at the back.
If you get to the grounds and cannot see the hut, give yourself an extra few minutes the first time. Addison Road is a large site with many buildings. Once you have found the Bush Music Club hut at the back, it is easy.
